This stupid guys write white king for Saruman
He's black king, even if he's white
But the model is really nice. Germany will have it in about 2 years. The collection just started up once again. Now we are at model 8 - Barad-dûr, but I'm not collecting the chess models myself. I may only buy some of them. The normal collector's models are enough for me.
I don't really think that the collection stops with item 160. I think we'll finally have 200 pieces...

To your white marked models I want to say a few words which maybe change your opinion:

143. Soldier of the Dead at Minas Tirith Docks : I think he'll have an axe instead of a sword. I very much like the green army of the dead. I welcome this model
144. Legolas at Lothlorien : I think this will be the Legolas without his cloak and his Galadhrim bow. It may be the piece of the promo edition.
145. Chess-playing Hobbit at Hobbiton : Very interesting model. We will have two hobbits sitting on a table an playing chess (or something like that); look at picture below
146. Elrond at Minas Tirith : Yes, maybe you are right. Elrond does not have an active pose. So I wouldn't need it, too.
148. Merry & Pippin at Hobbiton : Depends on the displayed situation. Imagine to have the two with the firework.
151. Sam & Rosie at Hobbiton : maybe with their children or dancing. May be a real nice model. Let's see
152. Orc Artilleryman : depends on his look. But another orc is not really necessary
153. Gimli at Osgiliath : Absolutely necessary model in my eyes. We only have Gimli standing without helm and with two small axes. This model will have the big two-bladed axe of Gimli. It's only the fourth dwarf we'll have at all. I very much welcome this model. P.S.: It's been on my wishlist I sent to Miss Thackara. Maybe it's me who's responsible for the idea.

I think these are not necessary:
141. Sam and Gollum at Mount Doom : too similar to Frodo and Gollum fighting
147. Sharku in the White Mountains : I do not remember to have seen him without his warg, so we'll maybe have a model in a pose never seen in the film
157. Gollum in chains at Osgiliath : Why another Gollum? We have enough and he's really not beautiful.

Maybe you see, that it's really depending on the displayed pose of the model how necessary or good-looking it is.

I know what you mean, but I think it really could be worse. There are only two models without a name or a significant pose. Think about the long orc session we've had before. This has benn strectching in my eyes but not another good pose of an existing model. Maybe we will think different when we'll see the models.

My dream :
Sauron at the same scale than the Mega special Galactus in the eaglemoss collection Marvel


They make figure for certains characters that you see only on one image in the movie
(Proufoot, Beacon,etc…)
look the guides, always the same photo

my wishlist would be :

You're right, they are not really necessary, but they look good. So it's ok to me. I only really hate the model of Gollum in the Misty Mountains (96) and that our Orc smith has no anvil. The rest is prabably not really necessary but make the collection more impressive. I'm only collecting these models, so it's no problem for me. You are collecting other models as well so it may be different for you.
As a big Sauron I have the WETA, which has a better pose as well. But it's a pity, that Sauron is not in scale 1:29 even if they say so.


Let's see how this collection ends. I only stop collecting if they say: "We are sorry but we've no more ideas. The collection ends here"

Today my Argonautes arrived. (both parts)
It's a very small model in comparison with its real size. They've actually the size of the model of their human colleagues. Thea are relly heavy (weight) for their size and are quite detailed. I only think, they're painted a bit too dark for their appearance in the movie.

Only the subscribers. The shop-buyers only have Isildur like you. Sometimes the German subscribers have their models two weeks ealier (we have always two pieces in one package), but sometimes they have them a few days later than the release of the second model.
So we got the two Argonautes-Pieces yesterday.

In France, The Argonath 2 : next week

and often (always ?) the subscribers recieve their figurines after the shop-buyers

We have a collector in our forum receiving the models directly from GB. The order was placed with the first model.
The names of the models can be seen on the official site, too. Here: 3.Set
The German collectors will have to wait a little longer than you will. The Twilight-Witchking will be possibly release at January 2011. We are at model 13 so far.
The collection has been cancelled some times and has started in last years august. This time it seems to be finished.

Ok but I don't understand why your collection not continues in Germany?
Otherwise i knew it was the other figures of the third collection, but i did not know the order you listed with us!

He also subscribes (Valinor) to the collection of models and it is him to gives the list to 160?
are reliable?
If the source is really reliable i add it to my website now for the two collections!

We don't understand that, too. But now it will I hope.

I think the order of valinor for the chess models is reliable. I just added them to my list.

The names and the order of the normal model are directly from Emma Thackara (Eaglemoss). I got them via email some time ago after asking her for it.

Maybe I should ask her for some further information on the models' look...

If I know something more I'll tell you.
